Grand Designs Ltd. was founded in 1991 by Deborah Hardy, William Heaton, John Painter, and Philip Zack. Together the founders represent nearly a century of experience. Although all four of the principals started as engineers, their interests have diversified to include many other facets of a rapidly changing technological world. Their areas of expertise include multimedia software and production, computer software and hardware, marketing and technical writing, instructional design, and video and film production. In 1995 Dan Machado joined our core group providing a rich background in traditional and computer based graphics design.
